Leagues covered by Proballers

Here at Proballers we have been gathering, verifying, and publishing stats from the top professional basketball leagues for years. Here is a list of leagues we cover (game results, boxscores, player and team profiles, schedule, standing and leaders). Please contact-us if you would like us to expand our coverage.

International competitions

The Olympic games are one of the famous basketball event in the history, hightly dominated by the United States with 16 gold medals in 20 competitions editions since 1936. Then the Soviet Union won 2 gold medals (1972, 1988), Yugosslavia (1980) and Argentina (2004) both one.

During the 2020 Tokyo games (held in 2021), Team USA, led by Kevin Durant and Jayson Tatum, won a new title beating France 87-82 in Final, while Australia finished at the third place winning against Slovenia of Luka Doncic.

Continental club competitions

The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague is known as the best competition in the world after the NBA, currently composed of 18 teams including 13 teams having long-term licenses, 3 wild cards and the 2 finalists of the Eurocup competition. Since the 1950s, the two best winnings clubs have been Real Madrid (10 titles) and CSKA Moscow (8 titles).

In parallel, FIBA has launch the Basketball Champions League in 2016 which has more success every season with new prestigious clubs joining.

Oceanian, Asian and African Leagues

The National Basketball League (Australia) has become more and more attractive every season, currently composed of 10 teams: 9 in Australia and 1 in New Zealand. While having NBA draft prospects such as Lamelo Ball, Josh Giddey and R.J. Hampton in the past, the league has created in March 2018 the "Next Stars Program" initiative with one slot per roster. In the 2021-2022 season, new NBA prospects are: Ousmane Dieng, Hugo Besson (playing both for the New Zealand Breakers), Mojave King, Justinian Jessup, Nikita Mikhailovskii, Makur Maker, ...

On the other hand, the China Basketball Association (Arnett Moultrie, Trae Golden, Ty Leaf, Kay Felder, ...) and the Japan B1 League (Anthony Lawrence, Shawn Long, Nick Fazekas, ...) represent as well very solid leagues with confirmed players.

Europe is composed of many professional basketball leagues, with great past and rivalries. The Liga Endesa (Spain) is known as the best national competition for years led by famous clubs: F.C.
