Victor Wembanyama will play for the San Antonio Spurs next season.
The San Antonio Spurs won the NBA Draft Lottery on May 16, 2023, and the right to draft Victor Wembanyama. The french generational talent will join a franchise where France's all-time great Tony Parker won 4 NBA Titles in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014. Former captain of the French National Team, Boris Diaw, also played with the Spurs and was part of the 2014 team.
After Drafting David Robinson in 1987 and Tim Duncan in 1997, San Antonio got lucky once again a stole the grand prize from Charlotte (2nd), Portland (3rd), Houston (4th) and Detroit (5th).
Currently playing for Metropolitans 92 in France, Victor Wembanyama will face Cholet in the first round of the LNB Playoffs.
