About the Shanghai Sharks Basketball Team
- What are the Shanghai Sharks? The Shanghai Sharks are a Chinese Basketball team, the best known outside of China, especially led by being the former club of Yao Ming (8 times NBA All Star between 2003 & 2011). He played five seasons in Shanghai (1997-2002) and help the Sharks to win their first CBA championship in 2002 while averaging 38,9 points and 20,2 rebounds per game! A few years later, he also became the owner of the team on July 16, 2009.
