Erik Dimitrov's Basketball Journey

Erik Dimitrov was born on June 27, 1995 in Pernik (Bulgaria). He began his playing career in 2010 with the shirt of his country of origin Overgas, playing 3 seasons until 2013; subsequently several experiences with BC Orlovets (2013-2014), Academic Plovdiv (2014-2015) and BC Dolphins (2015-2016), before moving to Chernomorets Burges, the Bulgarian Serie A team.

In 2015 he joined the Under 20 team of the national team of Bulgaria, participating in the qualifications of FIBA ​​EuroBasket. In 2016/2017 he was registered with the Hannover Körbjaeger, a German team.

In the 2017/2018 season he arrives in Italy at Virtus Pozzuoli in the "C" level championship, where he achieves 13.6 points per game in 38 games with a high of 29 against Basket Napoli, making himself the protagonist of the great season and architect of the promotion in Serie B of the Phlegraean classifying first ever among the play-off markers played in Ferentino.

In the 2018/2019 season he wore the Santa Rita Taranto shirt, showing his incredible physical and technical background: for him 539 points in 24 games, or 22.5 points on average - with a high of 39 against Cus Bari - and 3rd place in the league scorer standings. He pulled the Cadet cadets to the playoffs making the promotion in C Gold close by.

In the 2019/2020 season he was strongly wanted and hired by Dinamo Brindisi helping to quickly bring the Apulian team to the play-Off area in the prematurely finished championship. In 21 games out of 26 he scored 447 personal points with an average game point of 21.3 and a high of 34 against Monopoli.
